Channel 2 was in court Tuesday as the victims’ friends and families told the judge that the killer, Dennis Lane, deserves life in prison without parole.
Dennis Lane, 42, pleaded guilty to two counts each of malice murder, felony murder and concealing the death of another, and one count each of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, necrophilia and tampering with evidence in Henry County Superior Court.
Austin Smallwood, 26, was arrested at Hampton High School on Thursday by a school resource officer and a Henry County Sheriff’s Office special investigations unit.
